For more than half a century, the company Kottmeyer GmbH and Co. has been working on freight forwarding and renovation. Throughout the years, a motto, which symbolizes one of the most important values in the company, has followed them: “Stagnation means regression”.

Requirements and readiness for conversion

Oliver Böcher from Green Energy Germany has installed the solar cells at Kottmeyer. Initially, a 110 Wp set has been mounted on a truck, model Scania S450. Regarding the question on whether the company has heard about flexible MIPV (Mobile Integrated photoVoltaic) panels, Horst Kottmeyer says:
“We got them recommended through EUROPART and have read an article about them installing solar cells at the company Duvenbeck, which inspired us. We need to have solar cells on more trucks, and in the future the next new trucks will be equipped with solar cells from the beginning.”
